Edit and Manage an Organization Content Page

Enhance your cycling tour operator business, bike club, or local tourism promotions by leveraging the power of Content Pages. 

While your account home page allows you and your members to access your club tools and routes, Content Pages elevate your visibility by showcasing your best routes and collections on a public-facing page. Content pages can drive traffic to your account and deliver a focused, photo-rich content experience to curious cyclists in your area and prospective members, guests, or participants.

Access the Content Page

  1. Sign into your organization account 
  2. Click More > Manage Account
  3. Click Content Portal 

Edit the Content Page

Page Details Tab

  • "Publicly Available" - Check this setting when you're ready to publish the page. Without this setting enabled, your content portal page will not appear. 
  • Name, Subtitle - We recommend using your public facing name for the page Name and a subtitle that accurately describes the page contents. ex "Top bike routes and ride collections by {Club Name}."
  • URL - We recommend entering your account name in this box, words separated by hyphens. *Note, you won't be able to use punctuation, accents, or spaces in this field. 
  • Custom Link Label and URL - Use this field to point to a page on your website, your social media landing page, or another relevant website. Enter text to label the URL button, such as "Learn More", "Book a Tour", "Visit Our Website." *Note, you'll need to include "https://" at the beginning of your URL. 
  • "Show Map" - Check this setting to enable a map embed of your selected routes on your portal page.
  • Contact Name & Email - What's the best contact for someone wanting to get in touch with you? *Note, both fields must be completed.
  • Upload Logo and Cover Image - Recommended size for the cover photo is 1920 x 480px or greater resolution and 200 x 200px  or greater for the logo image. *Note, you'll need to click "save changes" to see your uploaded photos appear. 

*Be sure to click "Save Changes" following any edits to your page details. 


Description Tab

Use this space to share more about your organization. Enter text and use the toolbar to add elements to your text.

Tips:

  • Use the HTML markup toolbar to quickly add elements to your text such as headings, bullet points, and hyperlinks. Click the toolbar options before you add text, or highlight text and then click to apply the toolbar effects. 
  • Observe the image below to see how the HTML markup is written, use the Preview pane to see how your text will display. 
  • Use H1 elements sparingly, as the page Name is already an H1 element. 
  • When entering a website for a Hyperlink, be sure to include "https://" at the beginning of your URL. 
  • Use a "#" between text blocks to create more space between sections. 
  • Don't forget to click "Save Changes" before navigating away from the page. 

 

Items Tab

The Items tab is where you'll add your top routes and collections. *Note, if you're an ambassador you'll also be able to add ambassador routes from this tab. 

  • Click Add Routes to see a list of your top public routes. You can use the filter bar to find routes not listed, or to search for routes by title. Data is displayed beneath each route, including photo and view count. Click Add Selected once you've made your selection to add routes to the portal page. 

  • Repeat for your collections. 
  • Add items outside of your route library by pasting the URL in the top text field titled "Add Item by URL" and click Add Item. 
  • Reorder items within each section by clicking and dragging on the route title. 
  • Click Preview in the upper right corner to see how your content page looks so far. 

Publish and Share

If you're happy with the way your page looks, click back to the Page Details tab > check the "Publicly Available" setting > click Save Changes to publish your content page. 

 

Once published, non-members of your account will see your content page as the default view for your account homepage, while members will access your home page from their profile icon when signed into their Ride with GPS account. 

You can share your content page outside of our platform using the page URL. Viewers don't need an account to see the content page. 

New and prospective members will be able to Join or Apply to Join your org from the content portal, based on your account's join settings. If you've selected Invite Only for your join setting, options to join your org will not appear on the content portal. Read more about this setting here
